world cup cards new fever at Chapel

Instead of carrying textbooks, notebooks, and pencil cases students at Chapel changed to their Fifa World Cup album and cards. Every four years fifa world cup cards become a fever at schools, specially at Chapel where you can see students from all grades changing their cards with friends and even with people they never talk to. Teachers also buy their albums and they get their cards mainly when students donate to them or when they confiscate from students that are changing cards during class time. There are three different ways to complete your album. Some students at Chapel spends more than 200 reais in packets with 5 cards and they complete their album less than a week. The other way to complete the album, and personally it was the way I completed is by buying 50-60 reais of packets and changing your repetitives cards with your mates at break and lunch time. The average time to complete the album using these method is between 2 and 3 weeks. The last and longer way to finish is by waiting your friends to complete their albums and ask their repetitives cards and glue them in your album.
I have quite a few repetitives cards and now I'm giving to teachers and studnets who still dindt complete the album. I owe Professor Max many cards because he was the one who gave me the last card i needed.

Finals Exams are coming up

The finals exams are coming up and this is when everyone feels nervous and anxious to obtain a good grade in the exams which are 20% of the semester grade. Studying for those tests seems very difficult because the exams reach a vast amount of information. Finding a good strategy for study is a difficult task to do thats why I developed 10 ways to enrich your studying by researching in the internet and analyzed my personal experience for studying.

1. Know what you are being tested on
2. Make a study sheet with everything you think are going to be on the test.
3. Make up flash cards, with questions on the front and answers on the back
4. Study in the best place for you.
5. Make up a song or connect to something that will make you remember
6. Quiz yourself or ask someone to do it
7. Study early, not the night before the exam
8. Find a method that works for you
9. Do not study for 6 hours straight, pause for eating or watching some television
10. Pay attention in class, that the easy and faster way of studying.

Good luck on the exams.

Soccer: a passion in Chapel School

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, and it isn't different at Chapel School, specially in the last week of April and the first week of May were the regional tournament ends and the round of 16 of Libertadores Cup and Brazil's National cup starts. At the Chapel the majority support Corinthians, São Paulo, Palmeiras, and San7os. In this week its common to see people wearing their team shirt around the school. From 7 - 9th the majority cheers for São Paulo because they just cheer for the team with the higher status. In 10th grade the class is divided between Santos and Palmeiras, in 11th the majority cheers for Corinthians and in the senior Sao Paulo, Palmeiras, and Corinthians are in the top of the list

Big 4 Season Overview

My Prediction before the commence of the season

Boys Futsal 2nd place in SPHSL and 2nd place in BIG 4

Girls Volley 2nd place in SPHSL and 1st place in BIG 4

Boys Volley 4th place in BIG 4

Girls Futsal 2nd place in BIG 4

Boys Softball 3rd place in BIG 4

Girls Softball 2nd place in BIG 4
-------------------------------------------------------------

Season Results

Boys Futsal: 4th place in SPHSL and 3rd place in Big 4
Girls Volley: 1st place in SPHSL and 2nd place in Big 4
Boys Volley: 2nd place in Big 4
Girls Futsal: 3rd place in Big 4
Boys Softball: 3rd place in Big 4
Girls Softball: 1st place in Big 4

I was surprised with boys futsal performance in this season because we had good players in our squad but we couldn't find a effective way to play and we only won 3 games out of 13 in the season, and it was only against weak teams. Girls volley I was already expecting excellent results, however i didn't imagine that they would beat St Pauls in the final, and unfortunately losing Big 4 against teams where Chapel won easily in the first round. Getting the 2nd place was a enormous achievement made by boys volleyball because Chapel volleyball have a history of loosing all games, however Ms. Bastos made an excellent job with the boys and almost achieved the gold medal at Big 4. Boys and Girls softball was inside my expectations and the girls again deserved the gold medals, while the boys showed some good performance but in the decisive game played really bad with a lot of mistakes
